Description
This mosaic of small Italian ceramic tiles is of an abstracted form with poppies and crosses lightly drawn, commemorates World War I. A bronze plaque at the base of the work is inscribed: "Shoulder to aching shoulder side by side they trudged away from life’s broad wealds of light"
