Grant Bunyan

b. 1965

Grant Bunyan studied at the Wellington Polytechnic School of Visual Communication Design (now Toi Rauwhārangi College of Creative Arts, Massey University), graduating in 1987. Since then his practice has been both artist and graphic designer. In his artistic explorations Bunyan has produced drawing, painting, moving-image and sculpture, primarily concerned with human form - the texture and shapes of skin; the expressions and structure of the face. Grant’s public artworks have been carved in Oamaru stone including the piece Remembrance (1997) which can be visited at Karori Cemetery.
