“Miller Studios were the foremost manufacturers of traditional executed stain glass in New Zealand. The Studio was developed within Roy Miller’s father’s art and interior design studio in 1947. Self-taught Miller became highly proficient. After Roy Miller’s death in 1981, Paul Hutchens ‘injected a new vitality of execution by experimenting with different painting techniques and using brighter coloured glass.”
