Description

Rūaumoko is the god of earthquakes and volcanoes. This sculpture's broken columns and confusion of bronze letters look like the result of an earthquake. However the components actually came from the demolition of the nearby State Fire Insurance Building, in the early 1980's, including sections of marble faced decorative carving.
