Description

These 7 vertical whakairo panels lining the hallway are considered distinct from the further 2 horizontal panels now located in the restaurant (formerly behind the main reception desk).

The carved panels were originally commissioned for the Park Heritage Hotel. The site has since changed hands several times, and as at September 2022 is the Rydges Hotel.

The exact date of the work is unknown.
