William Parkinson

William Parkinson was a stone mason and monument, memorial and statue maker, based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. In 1886 he established a stone mason, monument, memorial and statue making company, Messrs William Parkinson and Co, in Mt Eden. The firm was responsible for a large number of public memorials and statues for wars, coronations and the deaths of well-known individuals. Their business was also in the creation of plaques and statues in cemeteries throughout the country.
