In the 1990s Ian Day was living in Carterton, near Wellington, with partner Sandy Duncan.
The couple began operating as Anthene (Goddes of the Arts) Studio, in 1993. They specialised in making cast garden sculptures out of reconstituted Wairarapa limestone.
Day continued to make unique bronzes and art prints.
