Barbara Tuck

b. 1943

Born in Hamilton and graduating from the University of Auckland, Elam School of Fine Art in 1965, Barbara Tuck went on to stage her first solo exhibition in 1980 at RKS Art in Auckland. From 1987 onward she exhibited with Peter McLeavey Gallery (Wellington) and is currently represented by Anna Miles Gallery.

In 2022 Ramp Gallery (Waikato Institute of Technology) hosted Delirium Crossing, an exhibition of Tuck's works. Curated by Lynda Wilson and Tim Croucher the show was documented in a catalogue of the same name, and containing a collection of essays. The exhibition travelled to Te Pātaka Toi Adam Art Gallery, and Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū.
