Description

This work was initiated by the Havelock North Rotary Club as a tribute to the hard work of the early settlers who laid the foundations of the Village. The sculpture stands in the Village Green near the location of the original village blacksmith. The accompanying anvil was donated by the family of Robert Given, the previous blacksmith and owner of the village forge.
