Description
Roy Cowan's winning entry to the National Bank 1972 Mural Award, 'Emblem-Star Fish' was subsequently donated to University of Otago in November 1974.
"Fabricated from welded steel sheet this particular work is a departure from his usual style (Cowan is better known as a ceramicist). The surface has been enriched with an organic texture made by grinding tools."
