This work is possibly a response to the book 'Once Were Warriors' by Alan Duff Book (1990) which was made into a film, released in 1994.

The composition includes figures in Robyn Kahukiwa's distinctive style framed on three sides by numbers that count from 1 to 154. In the final lines:
