Description

“The Signature Window was artist Nigel Brown’s opportunity to acknowledge key contributors to the Cathedral Nave. In this window, the artist features Bishop George Augustus Selwyn, New Zealand’s first bishop; generous donor, Mina Tait Horton; and Richard Horton Toy, the architect who gifted his plans for the Cathedral’s completion. The family looking out on Auckland Harbour is a depiction of the artist and his wife Susan who represent ‘every person’. The artist’s black dog has also been included. Nigel Brown ONZM was born in 1949 in Invercargill. He has worked as a full-time artist since 1978.” - Text from Holy Trinity Cathedral
