“The Signature Window was artist Nigel Brown’s opportunity to acknowledge key contributors to the Cathedral Nave. In this window, the artist features Bishop George Augustus Selwyn, New Zealand’s first bishop; generous donor, Mina Tait Horton; and Richard Horton Toy, the architect who gifted his plans for the Cathedral’s completion. The family looking out on Auckland Harbour is a depiction of the artist and his wife Susan who represent ‘every person’. The artist’s black dog has also been included.
