Description

This work was acquired by Archives NZ as a permanent loan from New Zealand Lines Ltd in June 1991.

Nine interlocking diamond shapes with carved relief representing a part of the globe. Each panel is painted white and has variations of the koru motif in native woods, such as kahikatea, rimu, kauri and tōtara.

This was Graham's first large-scale work. The company had sought an artwork by a contemporary Māori artist and invited Graham to submit a proposal.
