Peter Kundycki

b. 1953

Peter Kundycki is listed in The Press as graduating with a Diploma in Fine Arts from the University of Canterbury in 1977. After this time records of Kundycki are scarce though the National Library describes him as "a designer of Wellington in the 1990s. In 1994 was a landscape architect with the Wellington City Council."

We haven't been able to trace Peter recently, but have found historical newspapers describing a Kundycki family who arrived in Aotearoa with in 1947. Most of the family were naturalised as citizens in 1955. Leopold (listed as the father), had been in a Russian prison camp at the beginning of World War II, but was released and became a soldier of the Polish army stationed in Britain. An older son, Jacek, also a Polish soldier and aeronautical engineer, subsequently arrived and applied for naturalisation in 1959. Jacek may be Peter's father.
