Gary V. Hansen is and artist and educator based in Whangaparaoa. He studied industrial design at the Wellington Polytechnic School of Design in the early 1960s majoring in graphics, theatre and spatial design. From here he went on to work in New Zealand and abroad as a designer and photographer in the film and television industry. In later years he was a high school art teacher.
