Dominique de Borrekens is a Nelson-based sculptor and textile artist. In the late 1990s, working in collaboration with fellow artist Mandy Preston, she received recognition at the Wearable Arts Awards. ‘Feather & Scales’ won the Creative Excellence Award in 1997, and ‘Rock Me Aphrodite’ won both the Supreme Award and South Pacific Section in 1998.
